Autumn Style Favourites

So Autumn is upon us and I couldn't be more excited! I could honestly take or leave the Summer. The smell of chimney smoke in the air, dark evenings and crisp mornings, the anticipation of Christmas and the CLOTHES, please lets not forget about the clothes.

Every year around this time I'm eyeing up a nice coat and leather boots to take me through the Winter. I'm actually going to hang on a little longer this year though because I always rush into buying things early on. Then loads more amazing stuff hits the shops later in September and October and I always seem to regret my premature purchases.

Last year I hadn't a huge interest in buying new clothes because I was still in my hibernation phase with Tom (nearly a year on) and trying to shake off that FOUR AND A HALF STONE that I had gained during pregnancy! So I'm really going to make up for it this year. Shane always says that our biggest outgoing every year is my A/W wardrobe! Lol!

Here are some looks that I've been eyeing up on Pinterest!

TRANSITIONAL BLAZERS

I think blazers are a great jacket for making really casual outfits feel a little smarter. Also, they are great for this time of year when it's getting a little cooler but not quite cold enough for a heavy coat. I love these longer length ones too! Perfect to team up with skirts and tights (Yay, tights!).

HEELS & CHUNKY KNITS

I've a tendency to constantly seek comfort during the winter months but I love the idea of feeling casual and cosy yet having a little glamour with a heel. Obviously not for running after Tom in the park but perfect if you manage to escape for a couple of hours for a civilised brunch (ah, remember brunch…)

COSY TAILORING

I just love this look, I think it's really chic but looks so comfortable and easy to wear. I want to make more of an effort to be a bit smarter especially for work days and I think this is so perfect. Some pretty flats or loafers work so well with these tailored trousers. I love black too, so it's a winner all round!
