BEACH COVER-UPs
Bikini season is upon us, oh dear lord! I shudder at the thought of getting my ass out in public.. I definitely don't tan, I'm kinda blue and squishy, so for me, I prefer to cover up a little. Yeah sure, it would be nice to have a little more pizazz (did I just say pizazz?) to prance around Positano this summer but to be honest it doesn't really bother me enough to do anything about it. Anyway, I have always had a love affair with kaftans, kimonos and loose dresses so I'd rather buy those instead.
I searched online ALL DAY yesterday and spotted some really nice ones - BUT to be honest I don't think there is a massive selection this year. I found it difficult to find pieces that I absolutely loved. Saying that, there are some beauties below! Some of my favourites over the years have been vintage so maybe check out your nearest vintage store too!
So if you are like me and allergic to the sun, and you are heading off soon, start slapping on the gradual tanner, get yourself a beautiful embroidered kaftan and just lounge under a big umbrella. Cocktail in one hand and a good book in the other. Oh wait, that was pre baby, ok, how about covered in suncream, sand, melted ice-cream and slugging from a bottle of lukewarm water. Ah yes, can't wait.
